Press and Wash Instructions for DTF Transfers

  • Pressing Instructions

    1. Pre-press your garment for 10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
    2. Position the transfer on the garment with the film side up.
    3. Apply heat press at 284°F using medium to firm pressure (40–80 psi) for 5-10 seconds
    4. Peel the film: You can hot peel immediately with a smooth, steady motion, or cold peel after the film has cooled completely - both methods work.
    5. Final press: Cover with greaseproof paper or a Teflon sheet and press again for 12 seconds to finish.
    6. Optional: If any glue residue remains, perform an additional quick press using greaseproof paper to lift excess adhesive.

💡 Tip: For convenience and consistency, consider permanently attaching a Teflon sheet to your upper press platen.
⚠️ Before production, we strongly recommend testing on a spare item to confirm compatibility with your equipment and fabric.
  • Washing Instructions

    1. Turn garments inside out before washing to protect the print.
    2. Wait at least 24 hours after pressing before the first wash.
    3. Machine wash cold or cool only — warm or hot water can damage the transfer.
    4. Do NOT use bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh chemicals.
    5. Do NOT tumble dry — we recommend hang drying or using a cold air tumble setting.
    6. Do NOT dry clean.
    7. Do NOT iron directly on the print or expose it to high heat.
🧼 Following these guidelines helps maximize the durability and vibrancy of your DTF transfers.
